Ownership – take the initiative

Empower your people

How to build an entrepreneurial culture where people take initiative, make decisions and don’t wait to be told — driving performance from within.
Duration

Online or on location

Group size

4-8 participants

In this interactive training you’ll:

  • Discover what real empowerment looks like — why it is so much more than a buzzword, and how it directly fuels intrinsic motivation, engagement and sustainable performance.
  • Explore your own leadership style and learn when to direct, mentor, coach or fully empower—using situational leadership and the leadership dial.
  • Learn how to use the Empowerment Box framework to define the playing field for your team: clarifying purpose and results, boundaries and the support people need to act with confidence
  • Master delegation as a skill — and learn how to have honest conversations about exactly how much decision-making authority to hand over.
  • Learn how to give and receive radically candid feedback—both praise and criticism—in a way that is kind, direct and builds trust. Including a practice lab with your own real-life feedback situations.
  • Build the skills to create a psychologically safe culture where people dare to take initiative, make decisions, speak up and learn from mistakes.

What participants say

"Enjoyable and helpful. It made me recalibrate what mentoring and coaching really mean — and what empowerment actually looks like in practice, not just a buzzword."

"Revealing. The leadership styles and Radical Candor sections were especially engaging and informative."

"Inspiring, new perspective and great combination of practising new skills and theoretical frameworks."

"I know what not to say—and more importantly, what to say and how.”

“Informative, energising and fun!”
